Q: What are the different functions of the Oil Core Digital Probe?

A: The MP5 (aka Rice Cooker) is multipurpose and can be used as a crock pot, deep fryer or for cooking rice. The electronic probe has (3) different functions: manual, timed and rice cooker settings.

· Manual - the medium setting is 375°F and the low setting is 185°F. White rice (jasmine, basmati, calrose, etc) should take approximately 10 minutes once the valve “clicks”. Brown, Black or Red rice takes about 30 min once the valve “clicks”.

· Timer - If you want your food to shut off after a specific time, set the timer AFTER you turn the temperature to low.
