A: Rice Cooker Insert (MPI) – has multipurpose function and can be used as a double boiler, steamer or rice insert. Make sure you add about ½” of water to the bottom of the MP5 before placing the insert inside the unit. If the MPI is making a slight popping sound when the valve clicks (air being released), you can eliminate that sound by placing a paper towel on the bottom of the MP5.
