Q: Can I open the cover when the food is cooking in a vacuum?

A: If you open the cover to check if your food is done, simply give the lid spin to reseal. If the cover is left open for an extended period of time OR if you are adding food, be sure to turn the temp back up to medium until the valve is clicking steady and turn to low.
